A century ago (possibly even longer than that), a mad warrior poet sent down the 33rd Regiment of the Allied Defense Force to quell the Heart. The 33rd Regiment consisted of approximately 900 or so soldiers. Of those 900, only 300 of them came back alive. Those 300 would become what is known today as the Hounds; a group of battle hardened mercenaries who carry the burdens of the denizens of the Heart on their backs, for better or for worse. Several of the Hounds were given the role by either having the badge passed onto them, stealing it, or just being the (un)lucky SOB who stumbled upon it. Sure, there are rumors that some of the original members of the 33rd are still out there, but even that is speculation, so getting first-hand accounts is rare. That still doesn’t stop people from passing on stories about the deeds of the 33rd, the Hounds, and even stories about what exactly happened on the day the fate of the 33rd was sealed.

This is one of those many stories.

March of the 33rd is an unofficial supplement for Heart: The City Beneath.  The supplement contains a playset that puts the original 33rd Regiment at the center of your story, as well as a short adventure that details the night the fate of the 33rd was sealed.
